Description

Students will identify ways to stop a negative or harmful thought with this exercise from Tamara Zentic's 13 & Counting: Rescue Me? Start the morning off with smelly trash in a trash can in the classroom without saying anything to your students. This lesson will give students the opportunity to realize self-control allows them to be able to stop negative thoughts or "stinkin' thinkin' and replace them with positive messages. 

This exercise is recommended for grades 5-12.

Materials needed:

    • Writing utensil
    • Scissors
    • Tape
    • Smelly trash in a trash can
