Use these engaging downloadable activities to reinforce the lessons taught in the storybook, Bravo, Jalen!. These activities are best suited for children ages 7-12.
The Five Downloadable Activities include:
Activity 1 – Ready for My Test – Students will identify materials they would need in order to prepare for a test and feel confident. Worksheet included.
Activity 2 – My Calming Routine – Students will identify calming strategies they can use to help regulate themselves when they are feeling nervous. Handout included.
Activity 3 – Testing Day Cue Cards – Students will create affirmations based on their coping strategies and academic strengths. Worksheet included.
Activity 4 – How I Recharge – Students will identify the activities and places that help them recharge when they feel drained. Worksheet included.
Activity 5 – Stay Sharp – Students will use the acronym “SHARP” to remember five ways to stay focused, prepare for tests, and manage test anxiety. Worksheet included.
The storybook Bravo, Jalen! is recommended for these activities.
